Noru Innes

Noru Innes (b. 1978, Finland) is a Glasgow-based interdisciplinary artist primarily working with photography, printmaking, embroidery, and installation art. Her practice is rooted in personal narratives, exploring the intersections of memory, identity, and emotion. The choice of medium, whether it involves photography, mark-making, language, or found objects, is guided by the concept underpinning her work.

Noru studied Arts and Communication in Helsinki, Finland, between 1998-2003, completed photographic studies at the University of Highlands and Islands in 2023, and is currently attending Fine Art Master’s degree studies at Glasgow School of Art.
